High School Clubs

Student Council (STUCO)

Student Council is made up of middle school and high school students who represent the student body and play an active role in school leadership. STUCO organizes three annual fundraisers (Fall, Christmas, and Valentine’s) to support the Middle School Spring Fling and High School Formal.

In addition, Student Council plans and leads several key events throughout the year, including See You at the Pole, Spirit Week, and Homecoming activities.

Sign-ups for Student Council take place in the fall. For more information, please contact Sydney Carpenter at scarpenter@wcsbartlesville.org

National Honor Society

The National Honor Society recognizes high school students who excel in scholarship, leadership, character, and service. NHS members must have a GPA of 3.75 or higher, be recommended to our NHS council for outstanding character, and write an essay on leadership and character. We partner with the Spanish Honor Society to encourage members to lead in our classrooms, school, and community.
For questions, contact Kimberly Conrad at KConrad@wcsbartlesville.org.

Sociedad Honoraria Hispánica

Sociedad Honoraria Hispánica

The Sociedad Honoraria Hispánica (SHH) is a national honor society for high school students sponsored by the American Association of Teachers of Spanish and Portuguese (AATSP). Our chapter recognizes high achievement in Spanish and promotes ongoing engagement with the Spanish language and its diverse cultures.

To be inducted into — and remain in—our chapter, Los Mesteños, students must hold a GPA of 3.5 or higher, have completed at least three semesters of Spanish, and be either currently enrolled in Spanish or have completed the sequence through Spanish IV. Members also collaborate with National Honor Society on service projects that support school events and the broader community.

Students interested in joining or with questions should contact Kristina Argüello at karguello@wcsbartlesville.org .

Esports

Esports is the competitive play of video games, where students compete individually or as teams against other schools. Our program is part of an organized league, giving students the opportunity to play against schools within the OSSAA and from across the nation.

Just like traditional sports, our league follows a structured format with Fall and Spring seasons, scheduled practice days, and official competition days. Teams keep a record throughout the season and have the opportunity to qualify for playoffs and compete for a championship title.

Each season, players vote on which game they will compete in, and that game is played for the duration of the season. Students interested in joining must sign up with Colton Frederick at colton@wcsbartlesville.org before the season begins.

Book Club

Book Clubs are offered for both middle school and high school students, with each group meeting separately during two quarters of the school year. Any student who wants to discover new authors, find a new favorite book, or even earn extra credit for English is welcome to join.

We meet weekly to discuss the assigned reading, share questions and insights, and explore the life lessons presented through each story.

Students interested in joining Book Club should contact Kayla Stanley at KStanley@wcsbartlesville.org.
