What is the dress code?

Parents are responsible for the attire of their children, within the guidelines established by Wesleyan Christian School . The overall idea is to be neat, clean and modest. Uniforms are not required.

What curriculum is used?

Wesleyan Christian School uses published resources from Abeka, Lippencott-MacGraw Hill, Bob Jones and a variety of others. Instruction at WCS blends academics with Biblical principles in all subject areas, emphasizing God as the very center of a Christian's life. Do you offer school lunches?

Hot lunches are available daily when ordered and paid for in advance. Students may bring their own lunch. Wesleyan Christian School participates in the National Free and Reduced Lunch Program.

Do you provide bus transportation?

Wesleyan Christian School does not provide transportation. Parents are encouraged to car-pool whenever possible. Extended care both before and after school is available.

What is the average class size?

We are committed to keeping our class sizes small. The elementary student to teacher ratio is 15 to 1. This individual attention helps students reach their full potential. The lower elementary grades place a high priority on reading success, which is taught through phonics and other creative methods. Good communication with parents is a high priority. The elementary teachers report daily on each student through the use of student planners.

By whom are you accredited?

WCS is accredited by the Oklahoma Department of Education and is a member of the Association of Christian Schools International. Our faculty is comprised of caring men and women who are all fully certified and have responded to God's calling to the ministry of Christian education.

Does WCS offer sports programs?

The girls' programs include volleyball, basketball, track and cheerleading while the boys' programs include football, basketball and track. Our athletic programs assist students in building strong, positive character traits and good sportsmanship. Students also participate in the Tulsa Engineering Fair, state music contests, math league, area spelling and geography bees and student council.

How do you assist students with disabilities?

An innovative approach called The Discovery Program is offered for students with learning disibilities. Students work with our licensed therapist who gives intense, individual therapy, re-training the child's brain to process information differently so that they can learn.
