Your help matters! When parents get involved in their children’s education, it pays off.
All PTF programs are designed to support WCS in one of the 3 following categories:
Service Projects – events that enhance the community of the WCS family and connect families to school. Included in this category are the New Family Mentor Program, Family Movie Nights and Family lunches. PTF organizes events such as Family Lunches and Family Nights to connect families to school in an enjoyable and relaxing setting because parent involvement is great for children, great for teachers, and great for the school.
Support Programs – directly support the educational experience or contribute to the welfare of the WCS community. This year PTF will provide this support through teacher luncheons, We Care parties, homeroom parties, Teacher Appreciation Week, as well as the Annual Christmas Love Offering for faculty and staff. PTF organizes Teacher/Staff appreciation lunches as well as a monthly birthday celebration for teachers and staff. During Teacher Appreciation Week we organize and hold events all week long which culminate in an off campus lunch for teachers while parents substitute in their classrooms.
Capital Needs - expenditures that fall outside the school’s operating budget, and significantly improve learning opportunities.
2009-2010: PTF contributed 2 Smart Boards, several percussion instruments and accessories for the Fine Arts department, funding for special events (Red Ribbon Week, Freshman Orientation, ACSI Conference, Graduation), as well as teacher supply money each semester.

A note from the PTF President
I’d like to take this opportunity to introduce you to Wesleyan Christian School PTF. WCS is truly blessed to have so many involved parents who put so much effort into making this such a wonderful community for everyone – students, teachers, staff and families! One of the main goals of PTF is to connect families to school to help further WCS in its mission to provide an outstanding spiritual and educational environment where all students are thoroughly prepared to fulfill God’s purpose in their lives.
The research is so clear – children at schools with a broad base of involved parents perform markedly better on all kinds of key school measures.
When schools open their doors to all families, and parents put aside their other commitments to participate at school, children get to see that their education is valued. Although fundraising is necessary to help us achieve our goals, PTF is not just about fund raising: We are also about “fun” raising: getting families connected to school and helping teachers in many important ways. Included on our web page you will find a great deal of information on how and why to get involved and PTF is here to help you do just that!
For we are partners working together for God.

WCS PTF Prayer
Heavenly Father we thank You for our school, staff, students and parents. Help us to work together in Your name with joy and gratitude. May we always be appreciative of the many talents of the parents here at WCS and their gift of time. Lord Jesus, may every undertaking of ours begin by You and be brought to fulfillment by You as we work together for our school. May our thoughts, words and actions be prompted by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. Lord, we give You the Glory for all we accomplish. In Jesus’ name we pray . . . Amen
